If you are looking for the coolest place to become an app developer, then IT varsity it is. Studying the App Development course has just been so great for me; everything went better than I expected for me. I have been taught and mentored by such dedicated lecturers at IT varsity and to me, that is more than I could have ever asked for. We even have additional afternoon classes to recap anything we needed to know. IT varsity also gave me the opportunity to showcase what I have learnt and achieved at the first GeekGirls event that was held in August 2014. IT varsity is simply the best; it has opened my mind to a new way of thinking and some day I do see myself lecturing in IT or even owning my very own IT company.

Ever since I have been studying Technical Support at IT varsity, I have experienced so much of warmth and positivity from all my lecturers, especially my practical lecturer, Mr Yusuf. He has taught me all the practical aspects that I need to know in order to be a computer technician. I love the positive vibe that I get in my class, especially when all my classmates and I form a study group to do additional studying on our own and assist each other in getting better results. I have always received encouragement and motivation from my lecturers to always do my best at all times, especially during my practical sessions.

IT varsity has been the best choice I have ever made when it comes to my tertiary education and career. I was initially studying at another IT institute in Durban, but chose to transfer to IT varsity instead due to the structured learning and intense practicality of the Technical Support course. I have gained so much of hands-on practical experience during my time at IT varsity. I would definitely recommend the Technical Support course to anyone who loves working with computer components and hardware. At IT varsity, you are definitely going to be exposed to all the practical aspects of the course, which I feel is extremely important and necessary when it comes to the real working environment.

IT varsity has truly been a welcoming and great place. Everyone here has treated me like family. Getting into programming has always been my dream, so it was really nice to interact with lecturers who are passionate about their job. The IT varsity Team even go the extra mile towards finding jobs for us, which to me is really extraordinary. As students, we have also had the honour of being visited by successful individuals who have also inspired us greatly. I do not think that I could have had a more amazing experience at any other institute. I feel ready and confident for being launched into the working environment because I have been groomed and polished with the very best IT and development skills since the very first day I set foot into this campus.

Being an experienced developer, I was looking for a practical course that covered more than just the basics. I got much more than I bargained for. Not only was the content structured to suit my exact needs, but the delivery was tweaked to suit my capability at every milestone of the course. Bilal makes difficult concepts very easy to understand by using real world examples, and is happy to engage students throughout his lecture delivery. This interactive nature was especially helpful to me, as I have an enquiring mind and often need questions answered before the end of the lecture in order to fully understand the concepts discussed. I have no doubt that the training I received will serve me well into my programming career. This training provider comes highly recommended.

I enrolled for a web development course at IT varsity.  I have three words to describe the  learning experience: invaluable, practical, and hands-on. It was a far cry from the many “textbook-theoretical” courses that I had previously encountered. I enrolled with a goal of learning how to develop a good website. On completion of my course, my goal was achieved! (The proof is at  my gradually expanding portfolio at www.zakiyyamehtar.com.)
